Make Believe is a coming-of-age documentary about six young magicians whose love of illusion gives them something many teenagers are still searching for: confidence, purpose, and community. As they prepare for the biggest competition of their lives, the film celebrates the courage to embrace what makes us different. Spending time with these young magicians was a reminder that the best documentaries are rarely about their surface subject. Beneath the card tricks and sleight of hand was a universal story about growing up, finding your people, and discovering the confidence to be yourself.
